Simchas Bais Hashoeva
The much-anticipated grand Simchas Beis Hashoeva was celebrated on Wednesday night, the fourth night of Chol Hamoed.
Prior to the actual event, there was a special seudah – exclusively for the bochurim – in the yeshiva’s sukkah with Hagaon Harav Yitzchok Ezrachi Shlita. R’ Yitzchok’s drasha was followed by lebedige singing and dancing that was apropos for Chol Hamoed Sukkos.
The Simchas Beis Hashoeva took place in the Yeshiva’s main Bais Medrash, with all of the Roshei Yeshiva and Rabbonei Hayeshiva in attendance. Thousands participated; the singing and dancing lasted many hours into the night. At about midnight, the music paused, giving place for uplifting and moving songs and zemiros sung with the Rosh Hayeshiva and Mashgiach, with Rabbi Boruch Levine leading. With his unique abilities, Rabbi Levine wove an experience that was elevating and inspiring, eventually segueing into spirited dancing filled with hope and tefillos for Leshana Haba’ah Bi’Yerushalayim.
