Toronto Benefit Reception
The Annual Toronto Benefit Reception took place on Sunday evening, May 22nd, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ari Klein; it was beautifully arranged in a spacious tent that accommodated the very large crowd. The event was dedicated l’zecher nishmas Ari’s unforgettable father – Reb Avrohom Simcha (Avremel) ben Harav Yosef Chaim Klein zt”l, who had a warm relationship with the Mir. Rav Yoir Adler, the Kleins’ mara d’asra and a Mir alumnus, spoke eloquently about Reb Avremel’s hasmada, harbotzas Torah, and sterling middos. Hagaon Harav Binyomin Carlebach then delivered divrei bracha, which were followed by remarks from Zevi Brodt, who recalled the accomplishments of the Toronto alumni contingent over the last decade, describing how they have become a significant factor in the Yeshiva’s success.
