N’shei Mir Melave Malka
On Motzaei Shabbos, Parshas Ki Sisa, the Yeshiva held its annual N’shei Melave Malka for the English-speaking contingent of the Kollel wives at the Succas Dovid Hall in Yerushalayim. Hundreds of women attended and were treated to a beautiful milchig menu. The program began with the recital of tehillim on behalf of the current world situation. The audience heard from Hagaon Harav Yitzchak Berkowitz Shlita about the zchus they have to live in Eretz Yisroel with their husbands learning in Yeshiva. He explained the effect that it has on their homes and the woman’s responsibility in keeping it going. This was followed by a panel discussion of women who were asked different questions about how they deal with the difficulties of being a foreigner and away from family. The final speaker, Rebbetzin Birnbaum, spoke about the beauty of living and raising a family in Eretz Yisroel and the wonderful opportunities it presents.
