On Shabbos Parshas Vayakhel, A special shabbos of chizuk in France drew a huge crowd of four hundred inspired guests to a hotel in an elevated and enjoyable atmosphere. They were joined by the Rosh Yeshiva, Rav Yitzchok Ezrachi Shlita, Rebbetzin Leah Finkel, Rav Shaya Finkel, and several of the Yeshiva’s roshei chabura of the French talmidim. There was beautiful singing and drashos from the visiting rabbonim – including a special guest, Rav Shimon Galai – at the seudos and throughout the day.

The Friday night Oneg continued until 2 AM, with zemiros, sippurei tzaddikim and Q&A with Rav Ezrachi. The Shabbos morning davening took place kevasikin.

On Motzai Shabbos, three hundred women were addressed by the Rebbetzin, who then led them as they joined together in fulfilling the special mitzvah of hafrashas challah.

There was also a special bochurim’s Melave Malka where talmidim from all the Yeshivos in France joined together with a palpable spirit of achdus. They heard words of chizuk and his’orerus from all the visiting rabbanim, with joyous singing and dancing until midnight.

Upon their arrival from Eretz Yisroel on Thursday night, the esteemed visitors were welcomed at a special Kabbalas Panim hosted by Reb Pinchos Cohen. On Friday morning, the Rosh Yeshiva davened at the well-known Rottenberg kehilla; later, Rav Yitzchok Ezrachi addressed the talmidim of the cheder with divrei chizuk.

On Sunday evening, February 27th, ninety prominent supporters and benefactors of the Mir attended an exclusive Dinner. The Rosh Yeshiva spoke about the recent world events; there were enjoyable zemiros, and divrei chizuk from a special guest, Reb Yossi Stern of Highland Park, NJ. “We tend to think we’re helping the Yeshiva with our support, when we’re actually helping ourselves” Reb Yossi told the crowd.
