Harav Hagaon Yosef Elefant Shlita spent Shabbos Ki Savo in Los Angeles, speaking at various shuls and bringing much inspiration and warmth to alumni and friends of the Yeshiva, as well as the community at large. On Friday night, a beautiful Oneg Shabbos was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Yaakov Rosenblatt where Rav Elefant gave a highly informative Shalom Bayis shiur to the married men in attendance. On Shabbos afternoon, an oversize crowd of both men and women flocked to the Young Israel of Hancock Park, where Rav Elefant captivated the audience with an hour-long, insightful chinuch shiur.

On Monday night, the Rosh Yeshiva, Hagaon Harav Nachman Levovitz Shlita arrived in Los Angeles for the annual Benefit Reception, hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Sol Gurwitz and Mr. and Mrs. Chaim Dov Greenberg. This year’s campaign set its goal on providing the special Yom Tov Bonus (Tosefes Chag) for the Yeshiva’s avreichim. The result was a smashing success; the funds generated were twice as much as anticipated. Each family will receive 1,000 shekel instead of only 500 as originally intended. Ashreichem LA!
