UK Shabbos Hisachdus with the Rosh Hayeshiva
The British component of the Yeshiva’s talmidim spent Shabbos Parshas Bo at a rejuvenating and inspiring retreat, together with the Rosh Hayeshiva Shlita, the Mashgiach Shlita and the English Rabbeim. Friday afternoon ball-playing and relaxation concluded with delicious to’ameha and a beautiful welcome package, personally presented to each talmid by the Rosh Hayeshiva.
Each of the sumptuous, specially prepared seudos were graced with Divrei Torah from a member of the hanhalla and a bochur. Zemiros were sung in the classic UK style with lots of chazzanus, which the Rosh Hayeshiva and Mashgiach greatly enjoyed.
Friday night’s Oneg featured a Q&A session where bochurim had the opportunity to ask the Rosh Hayeshiva about any topic; the Oneg lasted for many hours as the bochurim sang and connected with each other, making it the true highlight of this memorable Shabbos.
The Mashgiach spoke again on Friday night and again at Shalosh Seudos. On Motzaei Shabbos, there was a Melave Malka and stirring kumzitz, climaxing a Shabbos of tremendous chizuk for all of the talmidim.
