Tisha B’av
Tisha B’av in Yeshiva was a very moving experience. Everyone sat on the floorof the Beis medrash in the dark, using just a candle for light as they listened to the ba’al korei’s tearfully emotional Eicha. This was followed by Rav Yitzchak Ezrachi’s shmuess in the apartment of Rav Chaim Shmuelevitz. As the space in the apartment is very limited, a sound system was set up in the street, where the talmidim sat on the floor outside the building and cried along with Rav Yitzchak as he spoke movingly about the destruction of the Bais Hamikdash. Throughout the afternoon on Tisha B’Av, there were many different drashos of divrei chizuk and hisorerus from different Rabbonei HaYeshiva.
