Annual Celebration Dinner 2022 – Videos
A decade of achrayus. A decade past, a decade forward.
This year’s Annual Celebration Dinner featured a highly enjoyable and inspiring program. In true Mir tradition, it was a family type of simcha where alumni and friends of all ages joined in an amazing spirit of camaraderie. Many of the Yeshiva’s maggidei shiur came from Eretz Yisroel; they gave pre-Dinner shiurim that set the tone for the evening, and met with their talmidim thereafter. The event was graced by many gedolei Yisroel from across the country; Rav Shmuel Kamenetsky offered divrei brocha.
The Guests of Honor – two of the most highly-regarded Tomchei Torah were each presented with a Sefer Torah sponsored by a friend of the Yeshiva. Mr. Ralph Herzka spoke emotionally about how the Rosh Hayeshiva, Rav Nosson Tzvi zt”l would be proud of the Yeshiva’s continued success under the leadership of his son, Rav Leizer Yudel and the support of some many alumni and volunteers. He thanked Rav Nosson Tzvi for making him a part of the Mir’s accomplishments. Mr. Shlomo Yehuda Rechnitz evoked tremendous applause as he made a very significant pledge and requested that everyone join him by pushing themselves way beyond their own limits.
The hanhalla, honorees and guests joined together in the lively singing and dancing that fittingly reflected the palpable simchas haTorah.
