The recent Yom Tov of Chanukah was brimming with joyous, Torah’dig celebrations the true Mir tradition.  The first two nights saw three different mesibos, one for the chassidishe bochurim, another for the Israelis, and the third for the English-speaking talmidim. Each of the mesibos were graced with the presence of the Roshei Yeshiva, Mashgiach and Rebbeim; the Rosh Yeshiva and Mashgiach spoke at all the mesibos, as well as some of the Maggidei Shiur.

The Rosh Yeshiva’s theme was about the zechus of being sheltered within the Koslei Hayeshiva, and how we must be vigilant not to allow external influences to infiltrate and impact us.

The Mashgiach compared each individual’s success to the neis of the Chanukah oil.  Like the flames of the Menorah in the Bais Hamikdosh, we are charged with keeping the kedusha and Torah strong and stable, and cannot allow ourselves to be distracted, even during Chanukah.

The mesibos were enhanced with dancing and singing along with lebediger music and a choir. The Yeshiva served a delicious fleishig menu to accompany the ruchniyus inspiration.
