12 hour Chabura
With the culmination of a vibrant and fulfilling Elul zman, the 12-hour chabura had a special chizuk gathering at the home of the Rosh Hayeshiva Shlita. For those not yet aware, the 12-hour chabura is a group of over eighty talmidim, mainly bochurim, who are committed to learn twelve hours a day. Since the Yeshiva’s regular seder hours take up ten hours of the day, the chabura members set aside an additional two hours – either before Shachris, during the lunch break, or after night seder; it is a significant commitment. The Rosh Hayeshiva spoke encouragingly of how fortunate these talmidim to be part of such a chabura; he mentioned that the greatest zchus with which to enter the Yomim Noraim is by being a person who is constantly learning. After the Rosh Hayeshiva gave each bochur a personal brocha and a special gift, joyous singing erupted – culminating the event on a powerful note.
